Neda Darabian is a PhD student at CERES, the Center for Religious Studies at the Ruhr University, Bochum, Germany. She has received her Master in Kerman University, Iran. Her Master´s thesis focused on the concept of afterlife and the comparison of the literature dealing with the visions of afterlife in three different religions: Zoroastrianism, Christianity and Islam. Her doctoral research focuses on the interactions between holy men among Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity, Manicheanism and Islam in Iran up until the 8th century CE, as some these groups change their status in the transition from  Zoroastrian to Islamic rule.  Her PhD dissertation revolves around the study of historical polemics, legal and religious books, in order to examine the interactions between Christian Priests and Jewish Rabbis as minorities under Zoroastrianism and the diminishing power of Zoroastrian Priests after the Islamization of Iran until the 8th century.
